Great News!! Living with an Egg Allergy has a post that shows a milk wash

is as effective as an egg wash on the upper pie crust as shown in pie

crust photos below. Wendy Venturino-Storm provided the tip and

photos. One of the readers commented that she likes using a cream wash

on her pies.
